Ceramic brake pads have copper fiber, bonding agents and ceramic fibers. These brake pads weigh less than the metal ones. They are also more durable than metallic pads. However, they can be expensive. Organic brake pads have resin, rubber, Kevlar and glass. They are better for the environment. The downside to using these types of brake pads is that they tend to break down quickly.
